Who we are
These terms cover thepaymentdoctor.com and The Payment Doctor’s payment processing referral and support services for medical practices, med spas, pharmacies, and telehealth businesses. The Payment Doctor is a product of The Payment Doctor Inc.
What the service is
The Payment Doctor helps a medical practice find, set up, and keep a payment processing account with a partner processor, and advises on wording and setup choices that commonly affect underwriting for medical merchants. The Payment Doctor does not itself hold, freeze, or release your funds; your processing agreement is with the processor, not with us. We do not guarantee that any processor, bank, or regulator will approve or continue to approve your account.
No long-term contract
Practices work with The Payment Doctor month to month. There is no long-term service contract with us and no penalty from us for ending the relationship, though your agreement with the underlying processor may have its own terms.
Not a guarantee against account actions
Payment processors can freeze funds, hold a percentage of volume, or close an account, usually over underwriting or wording concerns. The Payment Doctor works to reduce that risk but cannot guarantee it will not happen, and is not liable for a processor’s decision to freeze, hold, or close an account.
